Participants will gain an awareness of the philosophical underpinnings of PBIS, the role of coaches in the PBIS implementation process, gain an understanding of the skills needed for effective coaching, and the role of coaches in the use of data for decision-making. Included will be the discussion of:

  • Coaching competencies - your job as an internal coach
  • Keeping track - getting your job done
  • Efficient team meetings
  • Evaluation for continuous improvement utilizing PBIS assessment tools
  •  

Who should attend:    Participants should include Internal Coaches at the Universal level, External Coaches, Administrators

Participants should bring: Artifacts relevant to school-wide implementation such as annual school calendar; Available disciplne data; School wide acknowledgement systems; Behavior teaching plans; School improvement plan

Participants will network among other coaches and discuss perceived and realistic roles of coaching, review the PBIS Coaching Role, become acquainted with PBIS assessment tools; the Team Implementation Checklist (TIC), the Self-Assessment Survey (SAS), and the School Profile Tool. Coaches will identify three strengths and three areas that need improvement in their school-wide plan based on their SAS report and create an onging action plan to be utilized with the universal team during Tier 1/Universal training.

Cost: $100.00 per building team (Includes 1 External and 1 Internal Coach per team)

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs.
