The focus of this workshop will be on creating and collaborating with other professionals in a make, take, and share session on how to engage students in a different way and still track progress. Low tech, software (Smart Notebook and Microsoft PowerPoint), and activity-based ideas to replace “the worksheet.” There will be practice and discussion on what implementation would look like. Developmental appropriateness of certain tasks will also be addressed. Please bring any camera, phone, mp3 player, iPad, and tablet (like iPad) with you to class for explorations of their uses. This course is designed for the educators that want to engage students in different ways.
