Info-Tech Plan To Support Student Achievement!

The Plan Workshop is designed to allow districts concentrated time to work on their Information & Technology Plan. The new format will be an on-line submission using Google (Wiki) Spaces.  You will need a Google account to access the template for the workshop.

The majority of the time will be spent working on your plan. CESA #3 staff will be available to assist, troubleshoot and provide assistance. Areas highlighted on the workday will be Grade 8 Literacy requirement, policies necessary for the plan and data synthesis. Other areas will be added as requested by participants.

Teams of district Technology Committees will:
• Review scientifically-based research and best practices for information and technology literacy

• Analyze their current library media and technology plan or combined plans in regard to its support of classroom learning, student achievement and professional proficiency in the area of information processing and technology literacy, integration of ITL standards within the context of content curriculum and ongoing, systematic professional development.

• Utilize the planning model to clarify where they are and where they need to go in the planning process.

• Design an action plan for developing their plan.

• Share sample exemplary plan sections and district planning ideas with workshop participants. The six major plan content areas are:

1. Background Information ( includes demographics, applicable research, current status)

2. Needs Assessment Data

3. Implementation Plan (Goals, Objectives, Costs, etc)

4. Budget

5. Policies

6. Progress

Please bring all data that you will need in order to work on your Tech Plan. Districts may find it more advantageous to bring one laptop per team.

Member ITSS District Teams (should consist of 2 or more ~including Administrator, Tech Coordinators, Library Media Specialists, and District Technology Committee members) cost will be $25 per person to cover meals and materials. Non-member district cost will be $125 per person. This will be a first-come, first serve registration.  If the number exceeds our maximum, we will schedule a second event.

All on-line registrations are tentative until a purchase order is received by the CESA #3 business office. Please follow your local district procedure to complete a purchase order for registration completion.

For those who have already attended previous tech planning sessions, you are welcome to come to work on your plan and get additional help and answers to your questions.

Participants must cancel within 48 hours of this event or will be billed. Should enrollment be insufficient to cover the cost of the event, registered participants will be notified.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA #3 at least one week prior to the scheduled event to cancel and receive a full refund of your registration fee. Cancellations not received at least one week prior to the registered event will be charged the full registration fee. CESA #3 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot. Accommodations: If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated. CESA #3 is handicapped accessible.
