Unpacking the Common Core - 7-12th Grade ELA

Join CESA 8 staff as we unpack the Common Core State Standards in grade level bands.  Utilizing the web-based tool, we will provide a professional unpacking of ELA Common Core State Standards utilizing this dynamic database tool.  We will show you at grade level the standard alignment process.

StandardsInsightTM allows users to filter the standards by grade level, by strand and CCR anchor standards for English Language Arts and by domain or conceptual category for Mathematics, and by key word.  Filtering allows teacher teams to look at vertical connections among certain strands of standards and search for specific content relevant to their alignment work and deep study of the standards.

The web-based system then provides a robust database, with numerous unpacked fields including:
Evidence of student attainment
Key vocabulary for teachers
Knowledge expected to attain the standard
Skills expected to attain the standard
Understandings expected to attain the standard

$50.00 per person from Curriculum Instruction and Assessment School Districts
$100.00 for all other participants

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
