School Psychologists and other interested school staff are invited to a psychology update with Kathryn Bush, DPI School Psychologist. Participants will gain knowledge about Computer Adaptive Testing (CATS) and the underlying Item Response Theory (IRT) and the difference between IRT and classical test theory.
Learn how CATs and Curriculum Based Measures (CBMs) are used for measuring student growth in multileveled systems of support, and their use in Wisconsin’s SLD rule.
Learn the scoring rules for written expressions, and compose contract measures in six of the eight areas of SLD.
This workshop is free to the following districts: ACHM, Arcadia, Bangor, Black River Falls, Blair-Taylor, Cashton, DeSoto, G-E-T, Hillsboro, Holmen, Independence, Melrose-Mindoro, N-O-W, Onalaska, Tomah, Viroqua, Westby, West Salem & Whitehall. All other districts will need to pay a $25 registration fee.

Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
