Content:  Participants will revisit essential school-wide systems (data, teaching, acknowledgement, and interventions) and use the Team Implementation Checklist to self-assess current implementation and action plans around identified needs. In addition, participants will look at the Benchmarks of Quality to begin to understand the use of the tool in self-evaluation. 

Presented by: Karen Lietzow, CESA 5 RSN Project Director, will facilitate the trainings, under the direction of Marla Dewhirst, Assistant Director, Illinois PBIS Network. The advantage of participating in the CESA 5 sponsored trainings is sharing of expenses and thereby reduced costs.
 
Who should participate:  Building level Universal teams that have attended Tier I Universal Team Training Part 1 & 2. A team might include the following:  building administrator, external and internal coaches, regular education teachers that represent grade levels, special education teacher, social worker and/or psychologist, specials teacher, paraprofessional, and family members. 

Participants should bring: 
School calendar and staff development days; All artifacts/products from U100s and U200s such as behavioral matrix, cool tools/behavioral lesson plans, acknowledgement system, T-chart of behavior, “working smarter” grid, and any information shared with school community; PBIS Manual received at Universal Team Training
 
Objectives: 
1.       Review all of the Tier 1/Universal PBIS processes by working through the PBIS Team
          Implementation Checklist and action planning on School-Based Unified Action Plan for
          each component 
2.       Plan implementation through development of systems, data, and practice 
3.       Plan for stakeholder buy-in, implementation, and sustainability 
4.       Receive technical assistance from PBIS Network in developing and planning for
          implementation of school-wide systems. 

A block of rooms is available at the Wintergreen Resort at the state rate of $70/single and $92/double. Mention CESA 5 PBIS Training. State rates apply until Nov. 2nd.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
