You are invited to participate in the development of a statewide project that will provide teachers in Wisconsin with a database of resources they can search to find examples of classroom activities to teach information technology literacy that is integrated with English/Language Arts.

You can earn a $210 stipend for working on this project!

WHEN:   Tuesday, August 14, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch included)

WHERE:   CESA 8 Office, 223 W. Park Street, Gillett, WI

AUDIENCE:   Open to all English/Language Arts teachers and Library Media Specialists in CESA 8 districts.

WHAT:   Project participant requirements and obligations include:

1. Participate with a team of K-12 teachers responsible for ELA and/or media specialists in your CESA 8 region to gather online resources.

2. Familiarity with the new ELA Common Core State Standards and/or Google apps for education is preferred.

3. Attend the full workshop and submit 5 resources.

4. Participants will be paid a stipend of $210 plus mileage and lunch.

5. Participants have the option to integrate a new online resource into an existing lesson plan for one Viterbo Graduate Credit (paid for by the participant).

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
