Description
Does your instruction include standards-based: pre-assessment, differentiated instruction, and engaging activities? This workshop will provide the structure, potential on-line resources, and collegial support in designing best practice units and lessons for standards-based instruction. Emphasis will be put on designing units to meet the instructional needs of all students including expectations of RtI. Don't forget your computer for accessing the web and documenting your unit plans in your electronic curriculum warehouse (ie. BYOC, Curriculum Companion).

Workshop Objectives
- Learn and use best practice curriculum writing elements
- Design units of instruction based on standards
- Design units of instruction to incorporate best practice instructional strategies
- Discuss assessment and using it effectively

Who should attend?
- This workshop is designed for team teachers, lead teachers, and classroom teachers to work on unit development or unit modifications.
- Curriculum coordinators and/or administrators are encouraged to attend with teachers

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
