2012 Cray Academy

There is a connection between classroom teaching and learning strategies and what occurs on a daily basis within the business and industry (B&I) work environments. Required skills of employees are increasing. In addition to higher level of employability skills, employees need higher levels of technical skills. Participants in this learning opportunity will work with B&I partners to raise awareness of 21st Century Skills and current B&I standards in order to better prepare students for challenging and necessary post-secondary training and rewarding careers.

Course Assessment Requirements:

  1. Attend all required days.
  2. Write a reflection page after each day's activities.
  3. Complete a minimumof a 4-day (32 hours) externship.
  4. Develop a learning plan to integrate B & I practices into classroom applications.
  5. Participate in group discussion - linking the learning plan to a Program of Study.

Teacher Standards
