In order to help your district with their AODA student mini-grant, the CESA #12 AODA Coordinator, will present an AODA Mini-Grant Writing workshop to improve the grant writing skills of students and their advisor.

You will:
  *Improve your grant writing skills.
  *Learn how to help your students develop their AODA grant.

DPI AODA mini-grants provide groups of students with up to $1,000 to deliver a prevention or wellness project that targets AODA or other risk behaviors such as bullying, tobacco, suicide, HIV, and alcohol traffic safety. In the past, students have developed projects to put on wellness fairs, run peer helper or mentor programs, develop and deliver wellness skits, and run parent and community awareness campaigns.

Grant Requirements:
*  Projects must be developed by students for students.
  * Applications must be written by students. DPI will be mailing application forms to each district and also will provide a fill-enabled form online:

Timelines for the Mini grants
October 5 Student Mini-grant application due to DPI
November 19 Mini-grant funding notifications mailed to schools.
2013
June 3 Completion of project and final claims submitted

The workshop fee is $40 per team for 3 students and an advisor and includes lunch

WPS6The pupil services professional is able to address comprehensively the wide range of social, emotional, behavioral and physical issues and circumstances which may limit pupils’ abilities to achieve positive learning outcomes through development, implementation and evaluation of system-wide interventions and strategies.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
