This course provides educators with the skills and knowledge they will need to be an effective online instructor in order to meet the needs of 21st century students. Using Moodle, course participants will become part of a community of learners as they build a solid foundation for their own online course. They will learn how to ensure that their learning outcomes are met through pedagogically sound activities that are measured through technology based assessments while providing opportunities for active learning.
Goals/Objectives

1. Learn the basics functionality of Moodle and how to utilize its features.

2. Review various Moodle Courses.

3. Begin to develop a course on Moodle that will integrate various technologies and file types into interactive lessons that will enhance student learning and achievement.

DATE:   Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24, 2012

TIME:   8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day

LOCATION:   CESA 8 Office, 223 W. Park Street, Gillett, WI

INSTRUCTOR:   Danyell Franti, Wabeno School District

FEE:    * $200.00 for 1 Graduate Credit from Viterbo University for staff from TRITON Enhanced Services districts, Media Services districts, and School Improvement Services Level 2 districts (Technology Support Services included)

            * $300.00 for staff from all other districts ($200.00 for tuition to Viterbo University & $100.00 fee to CESA 8)

            * $75.00 for personal growth (TRITON Enhanced Services, Media Services & School Improvement Services).

            * $175.00 for personal growth (non-member districts)

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
