Big changes are afoot in Wisconsin and we will all be affected in our work with English Language Learners. I hope you can join us next week for our Spring Network Meeting. As always, it's a chance to stay on top of state and federal updates, but it's also a chance to learn from the real experts - your colleagues in the trenches!
The agenda is attached. Let me call your attention to a couple of points:
- Next year there will be a new online ESEA application. The person in your district who fills out the application will use district Needs Assessment information to plan for your district's activities. Our Title III Consortium application will also be new. If you have district Needs Assessment information (either data, test scores, or anecdotal information), please plan to share that with us.
- SIOP. Many of you participated in the two-day SIOP training in December. Please plan to share what you are doing with SIOP in your district.
- Resource Sharing. If you have a resource or an online resource that is working for you, please plan to bring it and share it.
As usual, we will try to make time for some professional development activity(s) you take take back to use in your district.

Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
