This three day training is designed for Project Based Learning (PBL) Teachers and Charter School Planning Teams.  It offers hands on training to develop knowledge and skills to begin planning, or to start teaching in a project based learning charter school.  Traditional schools are welcome too.  Professional learning communities will be offered for both high school and elementary models.

Lead presenters will provide the training.  Experienced associate trainers will guide the advisory circles and project teams.  Participants will complete a project as they learn the process.  Project teams include: The FITT Principle, Elk Tracking, Proms for Business, Smokey Bear, Price County Airport Expansion, The Great Depression & WWII. From the list below pick your 1st & 2nd preference of project teams you wish to register for and note your choices in the registration notes box (this box is found under the bill to information when you register on line)

Conference Fees: (includes breaks, lunch & materials)
$0 for the first 50 registrations (first come first served-must be registered on myquickreg)
The first 50 registrations will also receive a $400 stipend if you complete all 3 days of training. We will notify you via email if you qualified for the free registration & stipend after you register online.  REGISTRATIONS MUST CONTAIN 1ST AND 2ND CHOICES IN ORDER TO QUALIFY.

$75 for all other registrations (registration is limited to 80 participants)

Deadline for Registration: May 31, 2012 (registrations cancelled after deadline will not be refunded).

The Rural Community School Alliance (RCSA), a consortium of 4 rural charter schools, is offering this training through a Charter School Dissemination Grant provided by the Department of Public Instruction.

Lodging Information:
Download the Lodging in Park Falls attachment for a list of hotels and campgrounds in the Park Falls area. Participants are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements and paying the cost for these expenses.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
