Assessment Tools for Child Outcomes

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Using an assessment tool to guide the rating of a child for Indicator 7 Child Outcomes work is critical to ensure an accurate, quality rating. In this 1/2 day mini-workshop we will briefly review types and purposes of assessment tools used in early learning settings. Then, we will explore in more detail several criterion-referenced tools currently being used in Wisconsin for ongoing assessment including the New Portage Guide, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and the AEPS (Assessment, Evaluation, & Programming System for Infants and Children).

Participants are invited to come early before session begins and look through assessment materials, as well as stay after the session ends and use the afternoon to work with your team on any aspect of the Child Outcomes process needed. (Lunch is on your own.)
