SCOPE: Universal level training is designed for schools to learn and begin developing systems, practices, databases for school wide change.

SEQUENCE: C100:  New Coaches Orientation:  Nuts & Bolts

*This training is for internal/external building coaches and building administrators only.

Participants will gain an awareness of the philosophical underpinnings of PBIS, the role of coaches in the PBIS implementation process, gain an understanding of the skills needed for effective coaching, and the role of coaches in the use of data for decision-making. Included will be a discussion of:  

  • Coaching competencies—your job as an internal coach
  • Keeping track—getting your job done
  • Efficient team meetings
  • Evaluation for continuous improvement utilizing PBIS assessment tools
     

Workshop presenter:  Peg Mazeika, CESAs 2, 3, & 5 Regional Technical Assistance Coordinator and Wisconsin PBIS trainer. The advantage of participating in the CESA 5 sponsored trainings is sharing of expenses and thereby reduced costs.

Registration fees:  $2200 for a school-based team of 6-8 individuals. This fee includes Days 1, 2 and 3, Coaches Training and SWIS training.
Flash drive will be provided for each participant.  

Note: Additional team members may attend for $100 per person for the trainings, meals and facilities.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a full refund if they cancel before 10 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Because of our commitment to the trainer and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 10 working days or do not attend, will be billed the full fee. CESA 5 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. Inclement weather policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 5 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been canceled due to weather conditions.
