Connecting the Dots: Leveraging Best Practices for OT & PT Support in Your District
Carlynn Higbie, Cesa 1 PD Specialist & DPI Education Consultant, will present information regarding the following learning intentions:
- Regulatory issues for school-based OT & PT services and supports
- School-based vs community-based services
- Role and Scope of OT, PT, and SLP Providers in the School Setting
- What to do with Medical Information
- Evidence-based practice regarding OT, PT and SLP Interventions
- Utilizing the I-4 Linking Form
- Role of OT, PT, and SLP in Transition
- Mental health: MLSS
- Equipment forms and assessment for electric wheelchairs
- When conflict arises: making shifts within the district/school systems
- Medicaid & Documentation Storage
Audience: Directors, OTs, PTs, SLPs, Psychs/PSTs, Teachers & Coordinators
Cost:
- PDSESS Districts: $225/team of 3, each additional person $75 on the same team. Individual registration $100/person
- Non-PDSESS Districts: $400/team of 3, each additional person $100 on the same team. Individual registration $150/person
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee.
CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all of your contact information is correct in myQuickReg.com.
DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met. CESA 8 makes every effort to accommodate basic dietary restrictions with advance notice, but please plan accordingly.
