Workshop Description:
Educators are struggling to improve academic standards and learn more effective ways to deal with the many issues of underachieving students. This workshop will address the causes for a lack of student motivation and academic failure. Paul will provide participants with skills to help kids think and work like high achievers. He will offer strategies for developing students that are intrinsically motivated and know how to own and solve the problems that they have created. Our discussion will also offer methods for dealing with classroom disruptions and offer practical methods for setting effective behavioral limits and creating high academic achievers. Throughout the day, Paul will provide practical interventions that can be used both in the classroom and as a resource for parents to use at home.

Workshop Objectives: Participants will be offered --
1. Strategies and techniques for helping students to think and work like high academic achievers.
2. Skills and techniques for creating children with character.
3. Five-part plan for helping underachievers to be successful.
4. Tools for holding kids accountable without losing their love or respect.
5. Methods for avoiding power struggles and defiance over doing schoolwork
6. Skills for putting an end to arguing and power struggles with children
7. Methods for developing and maintaining healthy, cooperative relationships with really tough kids.
8. Improving test scores without lengthening your school day as a teacher.
