Participants in this workshop will learn quick and easy strategies for setting firm behavioral limits without becoming engaged in time-consuming control battles. This workshop will provide teachers with time-tested strategies that so many schools have incorporated in RTI programs throughout the nation. These practical strategies will help teachers to immediately feel more in control and create a classroom where kids grow up and become respectful, responsible and resourceful adults.

Workshop Objectives - Participants will learn:
1. Strategies and techniques for setting firm behavioral limits and putting an end to arguing and power struggles with children.
2. Methods for assessing and then addressing the special development needs of children.
3. Tools for holding kids accountable without losing their love or respect.
4. Quick and easy classroom inventions for those nagging behaviors that interrupt classroom instruction.
5. Skills and techniques for teaching children responsibility, and self-discipline.
6. Ideas for developing relationships with students and developing a safe classroom environment.
7. Techniques for teaching children to solve their own problems.
8. How to handle difficult situations when teachers do not know what to say, or how to respond.
