Are you looking for authentic hands-on learning experiences for your students? Gain confidence teaching energy education indoors and out with lessons and kits from KEEP – Wisconsin’s K-12 Energy Education Program! Join us for a hands-on workshop filled with tools, activities, and ideas for energizing your teaching across the curriculum. Activities are adaptable for K-12 and include: Using Energy Audit tools to take temperatures and connect to climate change education Discovering Energy in Nature: Energy in an Ecosystem Solar Tilt and Solar Load Exploration

Instructor bio: Laureanna has a BS in Elementary education from UW-Madison and an MS in Environmental Education from UW-Stevens Point. She previously taught elementary-age students in the Hamilton (Sussex) School District and through the Environmental Education Program in the School District of Waukesha. Outside of work, Laureanna volunteers with the Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education (WAEE) and loves exploring her curiosity about the natural world, writing picture books, and spending family time playing games, baking, hiking, and planning their next vacation.

Cost: $200 per person (KEEP will reimburse each school district $150 per teacher who attends the workshop.)

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.

Weather conditions:

If a workshop has been canceled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. Please make sure all your contact information is correct on myQuickReg.com
