Assessment Professional Learning and Coaching Series: Performance Tasks

Join us for an engaging professional development session designed to explore and refine your understanding and implementation of performance task assessments in your school classrooms. Performance tasks assess students' application of knowledge, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities in real-world contexts. During this 2-day workshop, participants will delve into the principles, strategies, and best practices for effectively designing, implementing, and evaluating performance task assessments across various subject areas and grade levels.

Learning intentions:

  • Participants will learn how to design effective performance tasks aligned with objectives and standards.
  • Participants will explore strategies for integrating performance tasks into their teacher practices.

  • Participants will gain insight into scaffolding techniques to support students as they work on performance tasks.

  • Participants will learn how to analyze performance task to identify areas for improvement and to differentiate instruction. 

Information: This professional learning session is part of the 2023-24 Assessment Professional Learning and Coaching Series. The most impactful outcomes of the workshop will be realized with multiple people from your district, including an instructional leader. .

We ask that each individual attending from your district be registered to accomodate for lunch and learning materials.  All dates in this PD series can be found HERE

Cost: Free 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs. DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS: Due to varied dietary restrictions, CESA 8 cannot guarantee that all special dietary accommodations can be met.
