ACP District Meeting & Asset Mapping - Plus! (Madison College - Fort Atkinson)

Description: In order to best provide support for our districts as we capture the landscape of career development practices statewide, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has asked us to meet with all CESA 2 district ACP Coordinators to:

• Share some great career readiness resources that are available to you and your district
• Create a statewide asset map of career-ready practices

The statewide asset map will help us figure out where support is most needed as we “reboot” ACP and career readiness in WI. Asset mapping-specific practices can also help us identify and share the practices that can be correlated with positive student outcomes. Asset Mapping information will be gathered during the meeting via a Qualtrics survey.

Note: This is a required meeting for districts for ACP asset mapping. You will need to attend one of the in-person meetings, virtual meetings, or reach out to us to schedule an in-person meeting (note: in-person meetings are limited to special circumstances)

Presenter: Scott Carr

About the Presenter:

Scott Carr joins CESA 2 to assist districts with student readiness. Previously, Scott was a coordinator with CESA 7 and supported districts in the state within the area of Redefining Ready. As a part of this work, Scott brought innovative opportunities to districts in all areas of career and life readiness, along with assisting districts in redefining student success. In addition, Scott brought a high level of experience with Academic and Career Planning, which included portrait of a graduate, graduation options, career pathways, and realigning CTE programming. Scott’s passion for career and college readiness has led to the development of high school pathways that meet the needs of all students. Scott has a MA in Special Education, Educational Leadership and Instruction & Curriculum.

Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing cancel@cesa2.org. Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. 

Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

In-Person Events: Restrictions on our in-person events due to COVID-19 have been lifted. We will be responsive to what's happening within our communities, and guidelines from the CDC and local health agencies for future offerings and will update guidelines when necessary.
