Schol Counselors Community of Practice

We will begin with introductions from 9-9:30. From 9:30-10:30 Alissa Darin, Eastern Region Coordinator from the WISH Center, will present on DBT Steps--a universal SEL curriculum for emotional problem-solving based upon Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. It is designed for adolescents with the goal of teaching skills for emotion management, interpersonal communication and decision-making. The curriculum has a focus on upstream prevention to mental wellness, with a whole child approach and can also be used as a tier 2/3 strategy to support students struggling with mental health challenges, including anxiety. Then from 10:30-11:30 we will have district updates. From 11:30-noon we'll hear about DPI & WISH Center updates. From noon-1 lunch will be provided. Like last year, we are partnering with CESA 10 Education Technology Department will be hosting their CADENC and WIN network meeting from 1:00-2:00. The rest of the group will be dismissed. 

This workshop is open to all CESA 10 Districts.
