Hands-On STEAM Activities to Implement in Your School, Providing More Equitable and Inclusive Access
No one is denying the importance of problem-solving, design thinking, and STEAM activities. Many of the hands-on ideas in this session will be geared for library media specialists, educational technology specialists, and creative classroom teachers that are looking to ramp up their STEAM activities. This workshop will provide tangible ideas that teachers can go back and start using right away. Topics will include: design process thinking, innovating your workspaces, curriculum mapping, and motivating your students to self-reflect and engage in scientific conversations -- all guaranteed to motivate students and teachers alike!
Cost: $95 per person. Please contact the agency assistant if registering a group of 4 or more for $75 per person group pricing.

About the Presenter:
Frank Devereaux is an Innovative Deeper Learning Designer from the Madison area and works as a consultant for CESA 2 in the Digital Leadership and Learning Center of Excellence. His experience centers on the integration of technology in creative and innovative ways to support student learning in the classroom. Over the past few years, he has been diving into the realm of AI integration, inclusivity and equity in STEAM curriculum, and Design Thinking Projects for the Makerspace that are culturally relevant.
Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing cancel@cesa2.org. Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund.
Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

In-Person Events: Restrictions on our in-person events due to COVID-19 have been lifted. We will be responsive to what's happening within our communities, and guidelines from the CDC and local health agencies for future offerings and will update guidelines when necessary.
