Paraprofessionals contribute to all students success. This training will equip paraprofessionals with skills and strategies to support students. The initial workshop will focus on general strategies and communication.

Learning Outcomes:

Paraprofessionals will learn communication strategies to assist with communication with teachers they support.
Paraprofessionals will learn and practice questioning techniques that can be helpful across multiple content areas.
Paraprofessionals will learn deescalation strategies to support student behaviors in the classroom.

This workshop is offered exclusively to those districts participating in Universal School Improvement (LS1) Services including: Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.
