Cristina Sánchez-López, author of Special Education Considerations for Multilingual Learners, will introduce a framework for information-gathering along seven integral factors that impact multilingual learners' (MLs) performance in school and their response to instruciton and intervention (Tiers 1 & 2).

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will contrast explanations for common surface behaviors that MLs might exhibit from both a language learner as well as exceptional perspectives.
  • Participants will examine seven integral factors that impact MLs' performance in school and their response to instruction and intervention (Tiers 1 & 2).

This workshop is offered to those districts participating in CESA 10’s Title III Services including: Altoona, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Cornell, Drummond, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, Stanley-Boyd, Thorp, and Winter.

The cost for all other participants will be $100/person.
