Well-being affects burnout, job performance, turnover, engagement, student performance, and more in your district.  Additionally, attracting and retaining employees is one of the biggest challenges for our industry right now. Employee wellness is one of the keys to supporting our staff and students.

In this session, we will:

  • Explore data related to the importance of educator well-being to inform best practices.
  • Discuss strategies to support educators to engage in their own well-being and what it looks like in order to positively benefit themselves and their students.
  • Learn more about how to support wellness for your staff and students to enhance the culture of your buildings.
  • Discover ways to refill your own cup so you can continue to support education and educators.

  • The best way to track FMLA, including what information should be documented
  • FMLA and its interaction with ADA

About the Presenter:

 

Nicole Barlass is the Executive Director of Operations at CESA 2. She’s worked at CESA 2 for over 10 years. Nicole handles many human resources functions, works closely with the CESA 2 Board of Control and attends to other day-to-day activities at the agency. She received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a certificate to teach English at the secondary level through Cardinal Stritch University. Nicole received her MBA with an emphasis on Human Resources through the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is passionate about education and the services that CESA 2 offers.

 

 

 

 


 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Cancellation Policy: Registered participants will receive a refund if they cancel prior to 3 working days before an event, minus any material costs that have already been incurred. Cancellations must either be made on MyQuickReg or by emailing cancel@cesa2.org. Because of our commitment to the presenter and the food vendor, participants who cancel less than 3 working days prior to the event or who do not attend the event, will be billed the full fee. CESA 2 reserves the right to cancel any event. Registered participants will be notified via phone and email if a cancellation occurs and will receive a full refund. 

Inclement Weather Policy: Every effort will be made to hold an event. CESA 2 will notify participants via email as soon as possible if an event has been cancelled due to weather conditions.

Disclaimer: CESA 2 will do its best to accommodate general dietary requests; if your dietary need is very specific or severe, you may want to bring your own lunch to ensure your comfort and health. CESA 2 does not assume liability for adverse reactions to food consumed or items one may come into contact with while eating at a CESA 2 event. In-Person Events: Restrictions on our in-person events due to COVID-19 have been lifted. We will be responsive to what's happening within our communities, and guidelines from the CDC and local health agencies for future offerings and will update guidelines when necessary.
