PRESENTERS

Iris Jacobson and Michael Peacy, Education Consultants from the Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Iris has worked within the field of special education in public school settings as a special education teacher, diagnostician, and program coordinator, primarily in a large urban district. She also teaches as a university instructor. Her focus has centered on students with significant cognitive disabilities. Michael  has worked as a teacher, administrator and currently  focuses on assessment for student with significant cognitive disabilities. 

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We HIGHLY recommend that Special Education Teachers are accompanied by 1 or more of the following staff members: General Education Teacher, Instructional Coach, Principal, District Assessment Coordinator, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Special Education or Pupil Services. This will increase capacity for leadership to coach and promote sustainable best instructional practices.

Cancellation Policy:

Any registration cancellation must be received at least 8 business days before event in order for a full conference fee refund to be issued (full refunds do not include service fees. Service fees are nonrefundable).Registration cancellations received 1-7 business days before an event, a refund, minus $50 for each participant, will be issued. Persons who are registered, but not in attendance on the day of the session ("no call, no show") will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 6 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email if a cancellation occurs.
