Course Description
This course will focus on the instructional strategies best described in Robert Marzano’s work, What Works in Classroom Instruction. We will emphasize the importance of using effective teaching strategies to improve student learning in the areas of Science and Social Studies. Students will create a Science and/or Social Studies lesson. Therefore, participants are encouraged to bring their grade level curriculum map for these areas. We will also use a variety of articles from educational periodicals and internet sites.
