Registering here will automatically register you for all three days of the event. If you will not be attending each session, please register for the event(s) on the individual day(s) that you will be attending. Please note that your team (three attendees per session maximum) will be charged $600 for this series. Manual billing adjustments will be made as our on-line system does not calculate team billing.

Goal: To provide an in-depth study of the CCSS in English Language Arts for content specialists, coaches and/or teachers who can be called upon to help lead or support the move to full implementation of the CCSS in your district. We realize that even if you choose to purchase or adopt a ready-made curriculum, it will be important to have someone who has a deep and practical understanding of the standards at each grade-band to assist teachers, answer questions, and help build capacity at the classroom level.

Content: We anticipate that each day (three or four day total) of the series will be devoted to a specific grade-band of the standards (elementary, middle, HS) and will provide participants with a solid understanding of the CCSS underpinnings, challenges, and implications for classroom practice for that particular level. Participants will be entitled to use all of the Deeper Study training materials with teachers, support staff and/or administrators in their home district.

Trainers: These workshops will be led by content specialist Debra Kroll along with
CESA #4 staff using the Deeper Study materials from CESA #7. Math and ELA sessions will happen simultaneously in different rooms with different presenters. The content specialist leading this series was trained in the use of the Deeper Study materials at CESA #7. Deb Kroll is the Reading Specialist at Northern Hills Elementary School in Onalaska.

Participants: We believe the ideal candidates for this training will be those who possess leadership abilities, understand effective classroom practice, and have solid ELA content knowledge.

Teams: Districts that purchase this training package may send a team of up to three people to each of the training days. Cost for this series will be $600 per content area. Each day of the series will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Registration: Pre-registration for all participants is required

ALL POLICIES APPLY UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE INDIVIDUAL EVENT DETAILS.

Participant Cancellation Policy: You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.

Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.

Weather Conditions: If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop.
