The three-day series is designed to help educators support and promote language and literacy development in young children, while also fostering a culture of literacy in the classroom. This series is designed for early childhood educators and focuses on four key areas:

  • oral language and brain development

  • phonemic and phonological awareness

  • handwriting and fine motor development

  • developmentally appropriate curriculum and practices to promote literacy development

Sessions include an introduction to the importance of each area, an exploration of effective teaching strategies, and discussions on how to create a supportive classroom environment for student success. Educators will learn about the critical role of oral language development in brain development and learning, the connection between phonemic and phonological awareness and literacy development, the importance of handwriting and fine motor development in early childhood, and effective transition strategies that promote literacy development.

Cost (includes lunch):

$400 for CSI members

$500 for Non-CSI members

In case of inclement weather, please be sure to check your registered email and our website.
