Although research shows that early math skills are most predictive of children’s later academic skills, math is often underemphasized in early childhood classrooms and many teachers report being less confident in how to teach math relative to reading.

This training is for educators of young learners looking for productive ways to leverage what their students know to build math learning within daily routines, play, and structured activities.  It will include an overview of big ideas of early mathematics and provide educators with developmentally appropriate strategies that can be easily applied within their school day.

Audience: Any educator working with young mathematicians including 4K, 5K, and first-grade teachers, support staff, interventionists, instructional coaches, and early childhood special educators.

Cost:

$400/series non-CESA 9 Continuous School Improvement Members
