Restorative Practice Training

The purpose of Restorative Practices is to build healthy communities, increase social capital, decrease antisocial behavior, repair harm and restore relationships. Participants will be introduced to restorative practice techniques such as community circles, using affective statements and questions, impromptue conferencing/ restorative conversations, and formal conferencing. Participants will be able to use restorative practices in their work with students to build and maintain trusting relationships with adults and peers, a positive school community, and repair harm. The training will incorporate IIRP, TSS, Dr. Ross Greene, and SEL practices to ensure participants gain foundational knowledge of restorative practices and build their capacity to implement restorative practices in their classroom and school.

 

Note: This event was initially scheduled to be held at CESA 7; it is now scheduled at Howards Grove High School.
