These three EL networking sessions will focus on the needs of our English Language learners and the teachers who support them. The agenda will vary by time of year, but topics include details about Title III and allowable expenses, testing information, identifying students’ needs, high-impact instructional strategies, and ways to connect and support families.

All sessions are stand-alone and include materials (lunch is also included for in-person events). You will be provided with the Zoom link for each session you register for.

**Members are encouraged to sign up for all three events.**

These sessions will be co-lead by Amy McGovern, CESA 9’s Title III Coordinator, and Dr. Brook Goralski-Cumbajin, CESA 2's Language and Culture Consultant.

Session 1 - Sept. 21, 2023
In-person and virtual

Title III Details: Funds, Language Instruction Educational Programs (LIEP), Connecting with Families, Assessment information - planning for the ACCESS, Instructional Strategies, and DPI Handbook.

Session 2 - Feb. 28, 2024
Virtual

Instructional Strategies for Paras and teachers, Family Engagement, plus your topics.

Session 3 - May 7, 2024
In-person and Virtual

Planning for summer and next year, follow-up on the ACCESS test, and interpreting scores for instruction and exiting students.
