Physical education teachers are typically good team players and good sports when it comes to staff development (pun intended) as many have to make their own connections and application district-wide initiatives.  This professional development opportunity is intended for physical education teachers by physical education teachers and human performance experts.

Participants will learn proactive strategies to reduce explosive behaviors and learn strategies to increase engagement for all students.  Participants will learn how to incorporate strategies into routines to reduce student triggers.  Participants will learn how to recognize early stages of explosiveness to help students self-regulate.  They will learn proactive strategies to increase positive engagement for all students.

In the afternoon, physical education teachers will learn how to manage personalized fitness programs and connect technology to help students at different levels document growth.  There are tools so physical education teachers do not have to manage and "reinvent the wheel." School districts provided one-to-one devices for technology but seldom provide training for physical education teachers to leverage them.  Physical education teachers will learn from state and national-level presenters.  Finally, physical education teachers will have time to network with other area teachers about how they can adapt lessons based on what they learn.
