Course Description

We all know how greatly art, music and physical education affect our feelings of elementary education.  Without even thinking about it, we can conjure up specific memories in which moods were created to make us happy, to energize or relax us, or to help us focus.  The arts have been used throughout time to “set the scene” for many important experiences.  This class will address the research behind the importance of the Arts in the elementary curriculum, and will include practical ways to integrate Art, Music and Physical Education with other curricular areas.
