Course Description*
The purpose of Instructional Technology is to build the capacity of preservice teachers by exploring the how, when, and why of implementing educational technologies in the K-12 classroom. Grounded in the ISTE Standards for Teachers and the Wisconsin Standards for Teachers, participants will be empowered to use technology effectively in their classrooms. Participants will explore current educational technologies as they relate to ISTE Standards, Professional Learning Communities, Personalized Learning, Digital Equity, along with Digital learning Lessons and Resources. Edtech Tools to be used include but are not limited to G Suite, Twitter, Canva, Adobe Spark, Adobe Spark Video, iMovie, assistive technologies, Book Creator, code.org, ScreenCastify, virtual meeting tools, NearPod VR, and FlipGrid.
