Behavior Solutions with Dr. John Hannigan (WASCD)

Wisconsin ASCD is proud to partner with Dr. John Hannigan in offering this workshop focused on research-based systems and strategies to ensure our systems are designed to achieve high levels of learning for all students.  Particularly, this workshop will focus on designing a site-base system to ensure social emotional learning and behavioral skills are a part of universal instruction and there is a multi-tiered system to respond when students need additional support. This workshop is based on the best selling book, Behavior Solutions: Teaching Academic and Social Skills Through RTI at Work. Sites are encouraged to register a team and utilize the workshop to plan a framework for the upcoming school year.

 

Outcomes:

• Understand effective practices at each tier of behavioral and social emotional RtI

• Identify the school’s current reality for each tier

• Develop strategies for implementation

• Develop a systems understanding to promote long-term success and sustainability

 

Registration Notes:

• Registration will include the option to purchase a Behavior Solutions text, which is required for the workshop. 
• A team of 5 from the same school district will receive a 6th registration for only $275.
• Registration will close on May 19, 2023.

• Time: 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Location: DoubleTree by Hilton: Madison East (4402 E. Washington Ave, Madison, WI)
• Cost: $550 for WASCD members and $600 for non-members. Both include the option to purchase a Behavior Solutions text, required for the workshop.
• Light breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days

 

Dr. John Hannigan: John is a sought after consultant and speaker with a track record of success.  This includes being the Principal of California’s first Model PLC Elementary school as named by All Things PLC.  In addition to John’s consulting, he is the author of many texts on supporting students socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.  This includes Behavior Solutions, Don’t Suspend Me, Building Behavior, and The MTSS Start-up Guide.
