Inquiry-Based Learning Workshop Series
Monday, July 24, and Tuesday, July 25, 2023
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Teachers in all content areas will gain resources and strategies to help students research, read, write, and discuss course content in an engaging and meaningful way.
Using shared guiding inquiry standards will have students:
- constructing meaningful questions that initiate an inquiry
- gathering, analyzing, and evaluating sources
- developing claims using valid evidence to support reasoning
- communicating and critiquing conclusions
- being civically engaged and reflecting on the inquiry process to promote expert learners
You’ll gain a vision for Inquiry-based learning in your school and leave with tons of resources to expand this in your classroom and your district. Here is a suggested pre-workshop reading to begin thinking about what this can do for your students.
Intended Audience: 6-12 teachers, administrators, reading specialists, library media specialists, and instructional coaches. Bring a team of social studies, ELA, science, and health teachers!
