*Canceled* Navigating Act 30: Teaching the Holocaust and Other Genocides

In accordance with Act 30, the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Center (HERC) offers professional development, providing tools to teach the Holocaust and other genocides. The first day of this training will provide educators with background knowledge on the Holocaust, as well as tangible examples for how they can use this material in their classrooms. The second-day educators will conduct their own research on a different case of genocide using the demonstrated framework. Lastly, we will talk about methodology, and the dos and don'ts of Holocaust education. This workshop will leave educators with the information and resources needed to implement the new Holocaust and genocide mandate.

 

Audience:  Social Studies/ELA Teachers grades 5-12, Curriculum Directors

Cost: $25 Lunch will be provided on both days.
