2023 Engineering Machine Design Contest
WHO: Teams of 5th-12th Grade Students, Junior Division Grades 5-8, Senior Division Grades 9-12
WHAT: Design and build a complex chain reaction machine
MISSION: Into Orbit - Transforming Space Technology
CONTEST: Teams of 3-12 will be scored on Team Journal, Team Presentation, and Machine Design and Operation

Your student team can compete with other teams from around CESA 10 in the preliminaries for the Minnesota State Engineering Center for Excellence ENGINEERING MACHINE DESIGN CONTEST! Teams from middle and high schools are invited to participate. If you are interested in coaching a team, register today and we will send you all the support materials you need to get started. You do not have to have your team assembled to register, just let us know your intention and we will follow up with you throughout the year. Schools and coaches are welcome to enter more than one team.
This year's contest will take place on March 30, 2022 at Augusta High School. This wil be an all-day event.
Successful teams will be invited to participate in the Minnesota State Center for Engineering Excellence Championship Event, on April 21, 2023 at Anoka Technical College in Minnesota. All teams will have the option to sign up for the waitlist and be admitted to the championship as an alternate if space allows.

This workshop is offered at no cost to those districts participating in College & Career Readiness, including Abbotsford, Altoona, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer and St. Francis Ellsworth. Discount will be automatically applied.
The cost for all others is $100 per school.
