Paraprofessional Book Study by Learning Services
Due to popular demand after our incredibly successful Paraprofessional Summit in August, CESA 7 will be holding a book study to develop the skills of the incredibly important paraprofessionals in the region. Join RSN Coordinator Rachel Kaderabek and Literacy Specialist Sarkis Wentland as we read The Paraprofesional's Handbook for Effective Support in Inclusive Classrooms by Julie Causton and Kate MacLeod. We will be exploring topics such as working on teams, thinking about the students we support, academic, social, and behavioral supports, student independence, and critical self-care. The book study will take place over four one-hour sessions throughout the school year. All times are 3:30-4:30 and will be conducted virtually through Zoom. Prior to the first meeting, you will receive a copy of the book as well as a link to join the meeting. We look forward to working with you!
