Do you have English Learners in your class? Come learn more about a research-based method of instruction that addresses the academic needs of English Learners (ELs). Traditionally, ELs would be pulled out of mainstream classrooms and given sheltered forms of English Instruction. The SIOP model eliminates this separation by combining multiple instructional components with teaching strategies to ensure the content and language needs of ELL students are met as they learn alongside their native English-speaking peers.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will understand the components of SIOP.
Participants will be able to apply activities to SIOP components.
Participants will be able to analyze lessons based on SIOP components.

This workshop is offered for CESA 10 Title III Consortium members at no cost. The cost for all other participants will be $500 per workshop.
