Back by high demand and student need!
Join us as we learn, network, and implement Assistive Technology (AT) blended with Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Each session will focus on AT and how it can be used through the lens of UDL in order to provide more opportunities for all students to access instruction in ways that are meaningful, authentic, and relevant.
Participants will interact and explore tools, understand the SETT Framework, learn how to target tools and devices to increase student access, and support learners through their IEP plans.
Who should attend?
Anyone with dedication to learning and sharing with others within your district about assistive technology and how it can improve student access, independence and outcomes: classroom teachers, Special Education teachers, and/or related service providers.
It will be essential for participants to attend all 4 sessions.
Sarah is a former Occupational Therapist for the School District of Holmen and served as the Assistive Technology Coordinator. As the former chair of the district-wide Assistive Technology Committee and a member of the Instructional Technology Committee, Sarah has over 35 years of experience in public education teaching students, teachers, and paraprofessionals.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
You must contact CESA 4 to cancel attendance one week prior to the scheduled event unless otherwise stated in the individual event details. CESA 4 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 4 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. CESA 4 reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by e-mail or phone if a workshop is cancelled. If a participant is a 'no show' the school will be billed for the registration fee, or loss of the 'free' attendance slot.
Dietary Restrictions:
Because of the number of meals served, number of ingredients used, and food product changes from vendors, we cannot guarantee dietary restrictions as indicated in a user's myQuickReg profile will be accommodated. Participants with dietary restrictions such as food allergies should plan to bring their own refreshments.
Weather Conditions:
If a workshop has been cancelled due to weather conditions, every effort will be made to reschedule the workshop. If weather conditions are questionable, please call CESA 4 Voice Mail at (608) 786-4800; Toll Free (800) 514-3075. A message will be posted regarding workshop weather cancellations.
Additional Accommodations:
If you need an accommodation to participate including interpreter services (sign language or other spoken language) please email the workshop contact to set up these services. A two-week notice is appreciated.
