What is Quality Matters and this Professional Learning Experience All About?
Introduction to Quality Matters (INTRO2QM) is a lightly facilitated 2 week course that takes roughly 6 hours to complete. The course serves as a light introduction to Quality Matters and the K-12 Quality Matters Rubric. The Quality Matters (QM) organization promotes a faculty-centered, peer review process designed to certify the quality of online and blended course design based on national standards. INTRO2QM is a great introductory course to digital course design standards for those with limited available professional development time. Folks can sign up individually or as a team.
INTRO2QM is a 6 module course:
-
Module 1: Getting Started
-
Module 2: QM Overview
-
Module 3: Why QM
-
Module 4: QM Rubrics
-
Dive into the K-12 and K-12/Publisher Quality Matters Rubric Specific Review Standard 7.1: The course instructions articulate or link to a clear description of the technical support offered and how to obtain it.

Participants review the standard and make a QM decision of Met or Not Met from the lens of a K-12 student.
