It is your first year and you will have a classroom of learners. Now what? Let’s create an Optimal Learning Environment!

Effective, standards-aligned teaching and learning are only possible when an Optimal Learning Environment is in place. In Optimal Learning Environments, instruction addresses the needs of every learner with ever-present attention to equity and continuous academic, social, and emotional growth. Educators prioritize knowing their students, have deep understanding of the content they teach, and collaborate with each other regularly to maximize student success.

In this session, we will learn, experience, and plan for the three domains of an Optimal Learning Environment: Create Emotionally, Intellectually, and Physically Safe Environments; Implement Equitable, Culturally Responsive, and Standards-Aligned Curriculum and Instruction; and Meet the Diverse Needs of Every Learner.

You will leave with a plan that you can start to implement right away!

If you are interested in attending and the timing of this webinar does not quite work out, please register anyways and we will email you the recording directly.

About this Month's Webinar Hosts - Lynee Tourdot & Beth Clarke

Lynee Tourdot was a teacher and administrator with a degree in Education Leadership from UW Madison. She works for CESA 2 as a Superintendent Liaison, Licensing and EE Consultant and as a New Teacher Center Mentor Trainer. Her passions lie in building coaching mentors, creating thriving leaders, and her 5 grandkids.

Beth Clarke is an innovative educator who ignites the learning experience. Her passion lies in learner-centered pedagogy while partnering with educators to leverage digital tools and resources. Also, Beth facilitates the integration of UDL to promote inclusive education and the New Teacher Mentor program to support new educators. Most importantly, equity is a priority in every facet of her work.
