STEMCON Secondary ((most appropriate for grades 3-8)
The focus of this session will be on connecting STEM activities with our students’ future aspirations. We will explore options for student projects, including how they can create their own media with video and podcasting, as well as local and national citizen science projects they can contribute to. Explore Open Educational Resources (OER) and other high-quality free resources from NASA, Civil Air Patrol, PBS, as well as support and resources for club-based and competitive STEM (Engineering Machine Design Contest). Tour the CESA 10 IMC and get hands-on with the College & Career Readiness STEM gear (VEX robotics, green energy kits, etc.)
Lunch will be served at 11:30.
This session is offered exclusively to CESA 10 districts participating in College & Career Readiness, including: Abbotsford, Altoona, Augusta, Bloomer, Bruce, Cadott, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilmanton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee and Spencer. Discount will be automatically applied.
