Change Outcomes for Multilingual Students

Description: In this book study, educators will learn how to use the culturally responsive teaching framework to change outcomes for Multilingual Students in their classrooms. They will also understand the actionable steps needed to create an inclusive and affirming environment where all students backgrounds, experiences, languages, and cultures are honored and valued.

The book includes research-based and practical tools for implementing culturally relevant teaching in your context by exploring topics such as:

  • Building cultural competency,
  • Placing students at the center of learning,
  • Leveraging students' linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and
  • Uniting students' schools, families, and communities.

Participants will have the opportunity to network with others on how to best apply this learning in the classroom to meet the needs of all learners.

Cost: $194 for Title III Consortium Members, $215 for non-members

Please note:
Participants will need to purchase their own book prior to Session 1.
