PLEASE REGISTER EARLY - THIS WORKSHOP IS LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS
In this workshop, participants will understand how to apply the Crisis Prevention Institute nonviolent crisis intervention principles with students who are on the autism spectrum, and who may require a unique approach when in crisis.
Participants will be able to:
• Strengthen understanding of all nonviolent crisis intervention training concepts
• Develop an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) that assists in understanding why behaviors occur, how to prevent behaviors from occurring, how to appropriately intervene, and how to structure the postvention process
• Expand the CPI Crisis Development Model & Explore Adaptations for Students with ASD
• Apply & practice the additional content as it relates to nonviolent crisis intervention program content
• Problem solve a variety of scenarios that staff may encounter when supporting individuals with ASD
A participant workbook is required. This $12 fee is included in your registration fee.
Note: To be certified/recertified, participants must have taken the 2-day basic CPI course.

Cancellation Policy:
Any registration cancellation must be received by the registration deadline date stated on the event for a refund to be issued. Persons registering and not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee (substitutions are accepted). CESA 12 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment. Participants will be notified by email or phone if a cancellation occurs.Weather conditions:
