Mentoring is a required support for new teachers in Wisconsin and training for mentors is required. This three session series will provide an opportunity to learn and reflect on Day One: Getting a Strong Start, Day Two: Support through conversations and SLO work and Day Three: Support through disillusionment and challenges with student behaviors. Registrants should plan to attend all three sessions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Mentors will reflect on their own practice and needs of beginning educators.
  • Mentors will support beginning educators in the Edcuator Effectiveness process.
  • Mentors will practice professional conversations to support beginning teacher reflection on practice.

 

This workshop is offered at no additional cost to those districts participating in Universal School Improvement Services (Discount will be automatically applied.) including: Abbotsford, Bloomer, Bruce, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Eleva-Strum, Flambeau, Gilman, Gilmanton, Granton, Greenwood, Ladysmith, Lake Holcombe, Loyal, Mondovi, Neillsville, New Auburn, Osseo-Fairchild, Owen-Withee, Spencer, and Thorp.

The cost for all other participants will be $500 for the series.
