Free 1 person from each of the 27 CESA 8 School Districts others will be charged $250

The first six hours of the course will be taught face-to-face . The remainder of the course will be offered online in four self-scheduled one-hour online lessons.

This ten-hour introductory course prepares you to begin using the Shared Inquiry™ method of learning through reading and discussion of outstanding literature. The content is similar to the two-day T-100 Core Course, but the format is different. The first six hours of the course will be taught face-to-face at the CESA 8 Office in Gillett, WI. The remainder of the course will be offered online in four self-scheduled one-hour sessions, with some required classroom activities. Participants will receive a free set of Starting Off Strong classroom materials along with other materials valued at $440.00 for the classroom activities. Those who complete the first day of the course and all four online lessons will be eligible for a Certificate of Completion.
Shared Inquiry™ is a discussion method, a teaching and learning environment, and a way for individuals to achieve a more thorough understanding of a text by discussing questions, responses, and insights with fellow readers.

Shared Inquiry combines a sound theoretical base with proven strategies to engage all readers in higher-order thinking and collaborative problem solving. In Shared Inquiry, participants come together to help each other explore the meaning of a work of literature. Each participant brings a unique perspective that influences how he or she understands the work. Sharing their interpretations, participants gain new insights and deepen or even change their initial understanding.
Please note: Participants in the Blended Course will use the Starting Off Strong materials to complete the classroom activities required for the online component of the course. Please be sure to type your grade level in the appropriate box when registering. On the day of the face-to-face course, you will receive the Starting Off Strong set for the grade level you selected.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any registration cancellation must be received 7 days prior to the scheduled date to receive a refund or avoid invoicing. CESA 8 will only provide full refund of registration fees depending on individual circumstances. Refunds depend upon the ability of CESA 8 to cancel any financial obligations created by the registration such as meals, materials, etc. Registered participants not in attendance on the day of the session will be charged the full registration fee. CESA 8 reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or inclement weather. Participants will be notified via email through myQuickReg.com if a cancellation occurs.
